Getting started

Signing in to Fatstep for Artists

Fatstep for Artists has no passwords. You sign in one of two ways from the login page: Continue with Google Click Continue with Google and pick your Google account. If the email on that account matches an artist we already work with, you go straight to your space. Magic link by email 1. Enter your email address and click Send magic link. 2. Open the email we send you and click the link inside. 3. You are signed in. No password to remember. The link is single-use and expires after a short while. If it has expired, just request a new one from the login page. Tips - Use the same email each time so your releases, royalties and messages stay in one account. - Check your spam folder if the email does not arrive within a minute or two. - The link signs in the browser you open it in. Open it on the device you want to work from. Still stuck? Message the team from the login help link and we will connect your account manually.

New here vs already releasing

The first time you arrive we ask one thing: your artist name. What happens next depends on whether we already work with you. I'm new Choose New here. We create a fresh artist for you so you can organize your projects and, when a track is ready, send us your first release. Already releasing Choose Already releasing and enter the exact name your music comes out under. Our team reviews the request and links your existing catalogue, royalties and releases to your account. You get access as soon as we confirm the match. Why we review existing artists To protect everyone, we never link an existing artist automatically from a typed name. A person confirms it first. That is why an existing artist may show "pending" for a short time after you claim it. For every release you send us, if our team accepts it you receive a contract: distribution, publishing, or both. Both is our default.

Setting up your artist profile

When you first sign in, a short setup wizard walks you through your artist, one step at a time. You can skip steps and finish later from your profile settings. Three things unlock sending releases Your profile shows a small "profile setup" progress with three requirements: 1. Name - your artist name, how you are credited. 2. Social - at least one link (Spotify, Instagram, SoundCloud, YouTube, and so on) so we and your listeners can find you. 3. Photo - a clear profile photo or logo for your artist page. Until these three are done, you can explore, organize projects and use the tracker, but the Send action on a release stays locked. A banner reminds you what is left. Already on streaming? In the wizard we ask if you already have artist pages on Spotify or Apple Music. If yes, paste your artist links so we do not create duplicate profiles for you. Reviewed before it goes live Profile changes (bio, image, links) are checked by our team before they appear publicly. You will see a "pending review" note until then.

Finding your way around

Your space is organized from the left sidebar. Here is what each part is for. - Home - a snapshot of your recent releases, anything that needs your attention, and your latest full month of earnings. - Studio / Tracker - your free workspace to organize every project and demo, from first idea to finished master. This is where songs start. - Releases - releases you have sent us, split into In progress and Released. You create and track releases here. - Wallet - what you have earned, what has been paid, and where you request a payout. - Earnings - your full dashboard: streams, revenue, top tracks, countries, stores and history. - Messages - talk to the Fatstep team and your collaborators. The bell shows new replies. - Collaborations - releases where another artist invited you as a co-artist, and where you confirm your own details. - Settings - your account, sign-in methods and the artists linked to you. You can collapse the sidebar to give the page more room, and switch language or currency from the footer preferences.
