How your links are performing

My links > Performance is where you see what your links are doing. It has two tabs: Releases and Artist link.

Set the Period at the top. It applies to both tabs, and nothing is fetched until you press Apply.

The Releases tab

One row per track, each with its own short link. From a row you can copy the link, get its QR code, and rename it.

The QR code is worth using on anything printed or filmed: scans arrive tagged, so you can tell them apart from everyone else in the numbers below.

The Artist link tab

This is your link-in-bio page. The headline numbers are:

  • Views - times your page was opened.
  • Clicks - times a visitor chose something on it.
  • Click-through - the share of visits that led to a click.
  • Visitors - counted once a day, so someone returning tomorrow counts twice.
  • From QR - visits that came from scanning your code.

Opening the page is a view, not a click. What people clicked only counts real clicks, so the two never add up to the same number.

Where your visitors are

Where you are being opened puts your countries on a map, with the same list underneath. Visits we could not place are left off the map.

You also get Devices (what the page was opened on) and Referrers (where people were just before they arrived).

Campaigns

Add ?src= to the end of a link and the visits it brings show up under Campaigns. Give each post, story or newsletter its own tag and you can see which one actually worked.

Traffic with no tag is not listed there. It still counts in your views.

Videos on your page

If you have a video on your page you get its own numbers: plays, average watched, and how many watched to the end.

A click inside the YouTube player itself is invisible to us, so Tapped our YouTube button and Left the page while playing are our best estimate of people leaving to watch it there.

Downloads

For an email-gated download you see how far people got: Opened the gate, Left an email, Took the file. If a lot open it and few finish, the file or the ask is worth another look.

Why some numbers are approximate

Breakdowns cover your most recent clicks rather than every click ever, and anything we could not identify is grouped under Unknown. The headline totals are complete; the breakdowns under them are a sample.
