There are no upfront costs. We simply take a small share of the revenue your music generates, never billed to you. All Fatstep labels use the same fees.

## Distribution (streaming and downloads)

On every platform (Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, and so on), **you keep 70%** and **Fatstep takes 30%**. This is the same across all our labels.

## Direct sales on Fatstep

For music sold directly on the [Fatstep app](https://fatstep.com), **you keep between 70% and 90%**, depending on what the customer chooses to pay. When fans pay more, you keep a bigger share.

## Publishing and sync / licensing

We register and protect your works with [SACEM](https://www.sacem.fr) and other collecting societies. Publishing is always handled under **Fatstep**, which is both our publishing company and one of our distribution labels.

When we place a track for **sync or licensing**, the deal has two sides: the master (the recording) and the publishing (the composition). We take:

- **25%** on the master right
- **50%** on the publishing right

On a typical sync or licence, that comes to about **37.5%** for us, so **you keep roughly 62.5%**.

## What your distribution share covers

Your 70% is not just delivery. For distribution we also handle:

- Bringing in your **back catalogue**
- **Waterfall** release strategies
- **Pitching** to platform editorial teams
- **Pre-add links** that become smart fan links on release day

## How and when it is taken

Our share is deducted from earnings before they reach your [Wallet](https://artists.fatstep.com/accounting), so the balance you see is already your share. Nothing is invoiced.
